Medical Disclaimer | The Yoga Panda

Safety as Foundation.
Medical Disclaimer.

Transparency is at the heart of our student-teacher bond. Please review our thorough medical guidelines to ensure your practice remains a safe and therapeutic sanctuary.

01. Information Only

Not Medical Advice

The Yoga Panda and its instructors (including Shipra) are wellness practitioners and certified yoga teachers, not licensed medical doctors or healthcare professionals.

Information provided on this website, within our digital toolkits, or during live flows is for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment.

Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have learned through The Yoga Panda.

02. Consultation & Risk

Physician Approval

We strongly recommend consulting with your physician before beginning any new exercise program, especially if you have a history of high blood pressure, heart disease, or chronic pain.

Assumption of Risk

By participating in our sessions (online or in-person), you voluntarily assume all risks associated with physical activity. You recognize that exertion may be strenuous and could result in injury.

You are responsible for monitoring your own physical limits and stopping any activity that causes pain or discomfort.

03. Student Disclosure

Mandatory Notification

It is your responsibility to notify the instructor of any of the following before every session begins:

  • Current injuries or surgeries within the last 12 months.
  • Pregnancy (and current trimester).
  • Spinal conditions (Slip disc, Sciatica).
  • Hormonal conditions being managed medically.

Disclosure allows us to provide technical modifications essential for your safety.

04. Virtual Sanctuary

The Online Practice

During live online sessions, our instructors have a limited visual field. You acknowledge that virtual guidance relies heavily on your self-awareness and proper camera positioning.

You are responsible for ensuring your practice space is well-lit, clear of obstacles, and that you use props as instructed to maintain safe anatomical alignment.

Therapy & Cycles

PCOS/PCOD & Hormonal Health: While our specialized workshops aim to support endocrine balance, they are complementary practices. We do not guarantee a cure for any medical condition.

Prenatal & Post-natal: Yoga during pregnancy requires specific contraindications. Students must provide a verbal "OK" from their OB-GYN before joining specialized prenatal flows.

Injury Recovery: Our Therapy Yoga focus is on mobility and rehabilitation, but is not a replacement for Physical Therapy (PT).
